Following the completion in The Crucible, Cody was selected to appear in the PBS special that featured the playwright and novelist Colette’s 1922 production, My Mother’s House (originally called La Maison de Claudine) which starred Dewhurst. It was written to pay tribute to her mother, Adele Eugenie Sidonie “Sido” Colette. The play unfolds around Colette as she recalls her childhood and the relationships with her mom. Cody played the role of playwright, Colette through adolescence into her teenage period. It was in 1968 that the program got nominated three times for Emmy Awards.
